BILLY THE KID TOMBSTONE RACE

     The race consists of a contestant running a 25-yard course which has two hurdles, a 4ft & 5 ft., that must be gone over while staying in each respective lane. A small step is provided under the 5ft hurdle.                    The course must be covered four times, 100 yards in all, from start to finish.   For 50 yards of the race, the contestant is carrying a 20-pound tombstone, reminiscent of Billy the Kid’s tombstone.                                             Judges and an official timing system are utilized for all races.
